Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Yumeka Nagano #41564 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Steady Splits Fuel a Personal-Best 5K Yumeka Nagano crossed the line in 26:26, her fastest Boulderthon 5K yet, improving on last year's 27:35 and 2024's 29:26. Her race built in strength through the middle before settling in for the close: an opening mile of 8:27, a strong second mile of 7:14, then a final mile of 9:38 to the Pearl Street Mall finish. That second mile stands out as the highlight of her race, more than a minute faster than her closing mile and the quickest stretch of her day. Running it at over 5,000 feet of elevation in Boulder adds context to a well-paced overall performance.
