Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Chasen Bordt #41244 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

A Faster Finish Than Last Year, Mile by Mile Chasen Bordt completed the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 29:12, a solid improvement over his 31:30 finish at the 2025 Boulderthon. His overall pace quickened from 10:09 to 9:25 per mile, reflecting a strong year-over-year gain. Bordt's race unfolded with an assertive second mile, clocked at 8:11, well ahead of his opening mile's 9:46 pace the standout stretch of his day. Though his third mile eased to 10:21, his cumulative pace held firm at 9:25 min/mile by the finish, aided in part by Boulder's elevation above 5,000 feet, a natural test for any runner's lungs. With the fast middle mile balancing a steadier close, Bordt might consider working on maintaining that early tempo through the final stretch in future races.
