Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Hong Nguyen #41580 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Strong Opening Miles Fade Late in the 5K Hong Nguyen crossed the 2026 Boulderthon 5K finish line in 45:01. Her opening two miles were steady and quick, clocking 13:26 and 13:19, before her final mile slowed to 16:37, pulling her overall pace to 14:31 per mile. Running the first two miles at a strong sub-13:30 clip stands as the highlight of her race, especially given Boulder's elevation above 5,000 feet. A touch more even pacing through that final mile could help her carry that early rhythm all the way to the Pearl Street Mall finish next time.
