Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Elizabeth Traub #40344 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Strong Middle Mile Couldn't Offset a Slower Finish Elizabeth Traub finished the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 33:50, trailing her 2025 time of 32:22 by roughly a minute and a half over the same distance. Her race built momentum before fading late: after an opening mile of 10:41, she surged to a 9:20 second mile, the fastest mile-plus stretch of her race, before easing to a 12:49 close. That middle mile shows real strength worth leaning on in future racing. Like every Boulderthon distance, her race ended on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, a fitting finish after covering ground more than a mile above sea level.
