Faster Finish at Altitude for Anderson Heidi Anderson clocked 33:14 in the 2026 Boulderthon 5K, improving on her 34:16 from last year's race and trimming her pace from 11:03 to 10:43 per mile. Her division standing also rose, moving from 17th in her prior age group to 9th in the F55-59 category this time out. Anderson's race unfolded with a strong middle mile a 9:17 second mile that stood as her fastest stretch of the day, sandwiched between a 10:48 opening mile and an 11:49 closing mile. That surge brought her cumulative pace down to 10:02 per mile at the halfway point before settling to a 10:37 overall average. Running at Boulder's elevation of over 5,000 feet, Anderson's ability to negative-split her opening mile speaks well to her pacing strategy on the day.
