Strong Middle Mile Powers Steady 5K Finish Sarah Franklin covered the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 28:32. She opened with a 9:04 first mile, surged to a 8:09 second mile, then eased to a 10:16 close, finishing with an overall pace of 9:12 per mile. That second mile stood out as her fastest stretch of the race, a solid push through the middle of the course. Every distance at Boulderthon finishes on the historic Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, a fitting stage for closing out a race run at over 5,000 feet of elevation. With no prior Boulderthon results on record, this outing sets a first benchmark one she can look to build on if she returns.
