Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Damilare Adewumi #41521 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Strong Start Fades Late but Finish Lands in Top Tier Damilare Adewumi crossed the 5K line in 23:26, placing 160th overall and 123rd among men in a field of 2,677 runners at 2026 Boulderthon. Adewumi opened with a brisk 6:54 first mile, then quickened further to a 6:33 second mile the fastest mile of his race. The closing mile slowed to 8:57, tempering his overall pace to 7:33 per mile. Racing at Boulder's altitude of over 5,000 feet, that early surge through the middle mile stands as the clear highlight of his effort, and building a touch more cushion there could help sustain that pace through the final stretch next time.
