Danielle Trims a Minute Off Her Boulderthon 5K Danielle Markham crossed the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 32:45, improving on her 2024 5K finish of 33:45. Her overall and gender places were outside the top tier of the field this year, but the time drop shows steady progress on this course. Markham's race built strongly through the middle: after an opening mile of 10:53, she surged to a 9:08 second mile, her fastest stretch of the day, before settling to an 11:39 close. That middle mile pulled her cumulative pace down to 10:00/mile at the 2-mile mark before finishing at 10:33/mile overall. Boulder's altitude, over 5,000 feet, adds context to that effort. Consider working to sustain that faster middle-mile rhythm deeper into the final stretch next time.
