Strong Middle Mile Powers Young Runner to the Finish Andy Prouse completed the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 28:10, an average pace of 9:05 per mile. Prouse opened with a 9:50 first mile before surging to a 7:35 second mile, his fastest of the race, before settling back to a 9:51 final mile to the Pearl Street Mall finish. That middle-mile push was the clear highlight of his race, showing a strong gear he could look to hold onto for longer next time. Boulder sits at over 5,000 feet of elevation, adding context to any pace across the course.
