Strong Start Carries Steady 5K Finish Richard Osita completed the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 24:19, an overall pace of 7:50 per mile. He opened with a brisk 7:03 first mile, then quickened further to 6:54 for the second, bringing his cumulative pace down to 6:58 per mile through two miles the fastest stretch of his race. The final mile eased to a 9:20 split, settling his overall time in at 24:19. Racing at Boulders elevation of over 5,000 feet, Ositas early pace stood out as the highlight of the day. His race, like every Boulderthon distance, finished along the historic Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder. Building on that quick start, he might look to sustain more of that rhythm through the closing stretch in future races.
