Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Marina Trave Ferrer #140003 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Fast Start Fuels Top-Tier 5K Finish Marina Trave Ferrer crossed the line in 17:58, placing 37th overall and 7th among women in a field of 2,677 at the 2026 Boulderthon 5K. Her race went out hard: a 5:20 opening mile followed by a near-identical 5:18 second mile, putting her among the day's quickest through 2 miles. The final mile eased to 6:36, a noticeable shift after such a strong start, and one worth watching in future races to see if a slightly more even effort could sustain that early pace longer. Racing at Boulder's altitude of over 5,000 feet, her opening two miles stand out as the highlight of the day.
