Strong Middle Mile Powers a Steady 5K Finish Emi Uelmen crossed the line in 28:32, finishing 6th in the F45-49 division. Her race opened with an 8:46 first mile, then she found her rhythm, clocking a race-best 8:26 in the second mile before easing to a 10:22 close. That middle mile stood out as the fastest stretch of her race, a strong surge before the finish. Running at Boulder's altitude of over 5,000 feet, Uelmen's pacing shows a runner capable of strong mid-race gears a good building block for future efforts on this course.
