Strong Start Fades to a Solid Finish Abby Seipel crossed the line in 23:08, good for 148th overall and 36th among women out of the field of 2,677 in the 2026 Boulderthon 5K. Her race opened fast, with a 7:13 opening mile, then surged to a 6:20 second mile the quickest stretch of her day and the pace that pushed her highest through the field. The final mile eased to 8:42, a natural settling after that strong middle push. Given Boulders elevation above 5,000 feet, holding that kind of range across three miles reflects well-managed effort. A slightly more even split between miles two and three could help sustain that peak pace longer in future races.
