Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Rene Sourisseau #41601 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Strong Middle Mile Powers a Steady 5K Finish Rene Sourisseau covered the 5K in 33:52, moving through the field with a pace that dipped and rose across the three miles. Her fastest running came in mile two, clocked at 9:11, a solid drop from her opening mile of 10:25 before the pace eased back to 12:54 over the closing stretch. Racing at altitude in Boulder, sitting above 5,000 feet, adds its own demand to any effort, and Sourisseau's mid-race surge stood out against that backdrop. The race, like every distance in the event, finished on the historic Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, capping the morning start with a finish in the heart of the city.
