Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Maria Vadivel #41674 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Steady Legs, Slower Split Than Last Year's Boulderthon 5K Maria Vadivel finished the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 32:05, a step back from her 29:48 finish at last year's event. Her race built through a strong middle mile, clocking 9:04 for mile two well ahead of her overall 10:21 pace before easing to an 11:01 close. Every Boulderthon distance finishes on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, giving Vadivel a historic stretch to close out her race in a city sitting above 5,000 feet of elevation. With her fastest mile coming right in the middle of the course, there may be room to work on carrying that same rhythm into the final stretch for next year's race.
