Strong Middle Mile Powers Steady 5K Finish Spencer Leevers completed the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 28:34, an average pace of 9:13 per mile. He opened with a 9:52 first mile, surged to 8:07 through the second, then eased slightly to 9:40 over the final stretch to the Pearl Street Mall finish. That second mile stood out as his fastest of the race, nearly a minute quicker than his opening pace, showing a strong ability to accelerate mid-race. Running at Boulder's altitude of over 5,000 feet, Leevers turned in a well-paced effort with room to build a more even split next time.
