Steady Start Gives Way to a Patient Finish Alexandria Parrish completed the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 45:29. Her opening mile was her quickest at 13:24, before the pace eased through the middle mile to 14:14, then settled further to 16:32 over the final stretch, reflecting a race that gradually slowed as the distance progressed. Parrish's fastest mile came right out of the gate, a solid opening effort that set the tone before the pace eased later on. Running at Boulder's altitude of over 5,000 feet adds a layer of difficulty to any effort, and her early pace stands out as the strongest segment of her race. Building more of the middle and closing miles around that early rhythm could be a worthwhile focus for future races.
