Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Lisa Ventura #40872 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Strong Middle Mile Powers Steady 5K Finish Lisa Ventura completed her 5K in 27:56, an overall pace of 9:00 per mile. Her race built from a solid opening mile into a strong middle mile before settling in over the closing stretch. Her second mile was the standout of the day, covered in 7:56, nearly a minute faster than her opening mile and well under her final-mile pace. That surge briefly pushed her pace under 8:30 for the race before a 10:02 closing mile settled her final time. Racing at altitude in Boulder, sitting over 5,000 feet above sea level, adds context to the effort behind that pace shift across the three miles.
