Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Laura Resnick #41447 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Strong Middle Mile Fuels Solid 5K Finish Laura Resnick, 36, of Superior, CO, completed the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 32:46. Her race unfolded unevenly across the three miles: an opening mile of 10:53, a strong middle mile of 9:21, and a final mile that slowed to 11:29 as she crossed the line in downtown Boulder. That second mile stood out as her fastest stretch of the day, showing a clear surge in pace before the final mile pulled her overall average back to 10:34 per mile. Running at Boulder's altitude of over 5,000 feet, Resnick can take confidence from that middle-mile effort as a marker of her fitness, with room to work on sustaining that pace through to the finish next time.
