Strong Start Fades Late in Boulder 5K Ana Ramos finished the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 29:16, a modest step back from her 28:29 showing in 2025. She built her race well through the first two miles, clicking off 8:45 and 8:13 splits that had her tracking toward a faster overall time, before a 10:57 final mile pulled her average pace to 9:26 per mile. That early rhythm was the highlight of the day the opening two miles were noticeably quicker than the closing stretch, suggesting Ramos has a strong aerobic base to build on. With Boulder's elevation over 5,000 feet adding its own demands, holding that early pace deeper into the race could be a good focus for next time. Overall, a solid effort with a clear point of improvement to target for future races.
