Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Kim Tran #40362 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Strong Start Fuels Solid 5K Finish Kim Tran completed the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 25:39, an 8:16 min/mile pace. Tran's race opened well, with a 8:13 first mile followed by a faster 7:11 second mile, before easing to a 9:22 close over the final mile. That quick middle mile stands out as the strongest stretch of her race. Finishing in downtown Boulder on the Pearl Street Mall, Tran covered the distance at altitude, with Boulder sitting above 5,000 feet. A touch more evenness between the second and third miles could help her sustain that faster middle-mile pace to the line next time.
