Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Wyatt Baizer #42369 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Strong Middle Mile Anchors Steady 5K Finish Wyatt Baizer covered the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 30:37, an overall pace of 9:52 per mile. He opened conservatively at 10:22 for the first mile, surged to 8:33 for the second, then eased back to 10:46 to close, showing his sharpest work came in the middle of the race. That second mile stood out as the clear highlight, nearly two minutes faster than his closing mile and the fastest stretch of his race. Running at Boulder's altitude, over 5,000 feet, adds a layer of difficulty to any pace, and Baizer's ability to accelerate mid-race despite that is worth building on. A focus on sustaining that middle-mile rhythm through the final stretch could help even out his overall pacing in future races.
