Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Mason Fox #42231 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Steady Pace Carries Him Through the 5K Mason Fox completed the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 31:53, holding a remarkably even effort across all three miles. His pace tightened as the race went on, opening with a 10:22 first mile before settling into back-to-back 10:15 miles to the finish a small but clear negative split that shows strong pacing control. That evenness stood out as the race's defining feature: no mile strayed more than seven seconds from another, a tidy display of consistency over the distance. Fox's finish came in downtown Boulder, which sits above 5,000 feet of elevation, adding context to the steady effort he sustained mile to mile.
