Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Anoushka Nipunge #41359 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Steady Effort Caps a Quick Middle Mile in the 5K Anoushka Nipunge finished the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 33:34, good for 27th in the F 15-19 division. Her race unfolded in three distinct phases: an opening mile at 10:43, a strong second mile at 9:00, and a final mile that slowed to 12:45 as the finish approached on the Pearl Street Mall. That second mile stood out as her fastest stretch of the day, a solid surge before the pace eased over the closing distance. With the overall shape of the race trending toward a faster middle and a softer close, there may be room to work on sustaining that mile-two rhythm through to the finish in future starts.
