Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Teresa Henley #41237 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Strong Middle Mile Powers Third-Place Age Group Finish Teresa Henley completed the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 27:04, placing third in the F 55-59 division. Her race built through a quick opening mile, surged in the second, and closed with a more measured final stretch to the Pearl Street Mall. Henley's second mile was the standout of her race, clocked at 7:35, nearly a minute faster than her closing mile and well under her overall pace of 8:43 per mile. That mid-race push was the difference-maker in securing her age-group podium spot. With Boulder's elevation above 5,000 feet, that kind of mile stands out as a strong effort, and the pacing pattern suggests room to experiment with a more even split next time out.
