Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Emma Odell #40915 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Strong Middle Mile Powers a Steady 5K Finish Emma Odell completed the 5K in 32:01, an average pace of 10:19 per mile across the field of 2,677. Her race unfolded unevenly: an opening mile of 10:12 gave way to a much faster second mile at 8:52, before the final mile eased to 11:52 as she crossed onto the Pearl Street Mall to finish, a course that sits at Boulder's altitude above 5,000 feet. That middle mile stands out as her fastest full-mile stretch of the day, and building on that pace over the closing stretch could be a rewarding focus for future 5Ks.
