Strong Middle Mile Powers 5K Finish Taylor Sedivec finished the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 27:45, an average pace of 8:57 per mile. Her race turned on a fast second mile, covered in 7:37, more than a minute and a half quicker than her opening mile and the clear highlight of her run. That surge pulled her overall pace down from 9:15 to 8:25 through two miles before the third mile eased back to 9:56, settling her final average. Boulder's altitude, over 5,000 feet, is worth noting as backdrop for that closing mile. The race, like all Boulderthon distances, finished on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder. A more even effort across the first and third miles could help her carry that second-mile speed further next time.
