Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Cameron Neeley #40598 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

A Strong Middle Mile Powers a Solid 5K Cameron Neeley finished the 5K in 27:29. His race came together after a measured start, as he found his rhythm through the middle of the course. He opened with a 9:22 first mile, then surged to a 7:52 second mile his fastest stretch of the race before settling into a 9:24 close. That middle mile stood out as the highlight of his effort, showing a clear gear shift once he found his stride. Running at altitude in Boulder, over 5,000 feet above sea level, adds a layer of difficulty to any pace, making that sub-8-minute mile a notable push within the race.
