Strong Opening Mile Sets the Pace in a Steady 5K Finish Harini Varahala completed the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 1:01:50. Her opening mile was her fastest stretch at 17:34, and while the following miles eased to 19:36 and 22:41, the overall effort held together as a complete run over the full distance. The race's shape showed a gradual, controlled slowdown mile to mile rather than a sharp drop-off, a pattern worth noting as she looks ahead to future 5Ks. Like every distance at Boulderthon, her race concluded on the historic Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, a fitting finish line for her steady effort.
