Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Sierra Vazquez #40049 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Strong Middle Mile Powers a Steady 5K Finish Sierra Vazquez completed the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 32:08. Her race built momentum through the middle before settling in for the close. She opened with a 10:25 first mile, then surged to an 8:54 second mile her fastest stretch of the race before easing to an 11:36 close. That middle mile stood out as her strongest sustained effort, showing a runner capable of picking up the pace once warmed in Boulder's thin, mile-high air. A slightly more even split between miles two and three could help smooth the finish next time, though the overall effort reflects solid pacing instincts across the 5K distance.
