Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Donny Simony #41252 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles
Strong Start Fuels Runner-Up Age-Group Finish Donny Simony crossed the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 22:01, placing 116th overall and 90th among men out of the field of 2,677, and taking 2nd in the M50-54 division. His pacing showed an aggressive front half followed by a natural settle, a common and effective approach at this distance. His opening mile came in at 6:47, and he pushed even harder through the second mile, clocking 6:20 his fastest mile of the race. The final mile eased to 8:02 as he brought the race home. Starting near a mile above sea level, Boulder's altitude adds weight to that early pace, and there's room to explore a more even split next time out.
