Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Audrey Ponton #41930 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles
Strong Middle Mile Anchors a Steady 5K Audrey Ponton finished the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 29:50. Her race built through a fast second mile before easing back over the closing stretch, with the middle mile clearly her sharpest of the day. She opened in 9:31, surged to 8:23 for mile two her fastest of the race then settled into a 10:56 close to the Pearl Street Mall finish, a stretch shared by every distance in the event. Running at Boulder's altitude of over 5,000 feet, Ponton's even overall composure held up well; she might look to carry more of that second-mile rhythm into the finish next time.
