Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Coen Pfeiffer #40570 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Strong Surge Through the Middle Mile Powers a Top-10% Finish Coen Pfeiffer crossed the 2026 Boulderthon 5K line in 24:50, good for 234th overall and 176th among men out of the field of 2,677. His race built momentum steadily: an opening mile of 9:17 gave way to a sharp 6:43 second mile, the fastest mile of his race, before settling into an 8:01 close. That surge through the middle stretch dropped his overall position significantly by the finish, reflecting a well-paced effort that gained strength as the race progressed. A slightly more even opening mile could help him carry even more speed into that strong middle stretch next time.
