Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Jennifer Stevens #40761 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Strong Middle Mile Powers a Season-Best 5K Jennifer Stevens ran the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 26:54, her fastest finish of her four Boulderthon appearances, improving on 2023's 28:53 and 2025's 27:24, though just off her 2024 personal best of 25:30. Her race built through a strong middle stretch: after an 8:18 opening mile, she surged to a 7:30 second mile, her quickest of the day, before easing to a 10:01 closing mile to the Pearl Street Mall finish. That middle-mile burst was the highlight of her race, and with Boulder's elevation over 5,000 feet as a backdrop, there may be room to explore a more even final mile in future starts if she wants to chase that 2024 mark.
