Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Jeffrey Stevens #40759 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Steady Effort Slows Mile by Mile Jeffrey Stevens crossed the 5K in 29:52, finishing his third consecutive Boulderthon appearance in this event. That mark trails his 23:03 in 2023 and 25:02 in 2024, continuing a gradual climb in finishing time over the three years. The race unfolded in a fading pattern: Stevens opened with a brisk 8:30 first mile, his strongest stretch of the day, before easing to 9:47 in the second mile and 10:45 in the third. That opening mile, run near a 8:30/mile pace, stood well ahead of his overall 9:38 pace, showing his quickest running came early before the effort settled off through the finish in downtown Boulder a city recognized by National Geographic as the Happiest City in America.
