Strong Middle Mile Anchors Steady 5K Finish Samantha Warren finished the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 33:34. Her second mile was the fastest stretch of the race, dropping to a 9:36 pace after opening at 11:04 for mile one. She eased slightly over the final mile, closing in 11:36 to finish with an overall pace of 10:49 per mile. The race unfolded with a strong middle surge sandwiched between a steadier start and close, reflecting a controlled effort through downtown Boulder before the finish on the Pearl Street Mall. Running at altitude in a city sitting above 5,000 feet, Warren's pacing pattern showed good control, with room to experiment with sustaining that second-mile effort a bit longer in future races.
