Strong Middle Mile Powers Steady 5K Finish Brooklyn Kehl finished the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 33:52. She opened with an 11:35 first mile, surged to a 9:19 second mile, then eased to 11:52 over the final stretch, closing at a 10:55 min/mile pace for the race. That second mile stood out as her fastest of the day, a solid gear-shift from her opening pace. Given the finish line's setting on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, sitting above 5,000 feet, that quick middle mile speaks well to her effort. A touch more consistency between miles one and three could help smooth out the overall pacing next time.
