Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Issac Sherrod #42143 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

A Steady Push Through a Slower 5K Issac Sherrod finished the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 29:17, placing 504th overall out of the field of 2,677 and 335th among men. That mark trails his 27:07 from the 2025 Boulderthon, where he finished well inside the top 15% of that year's field. The race unfolded unevenly: an opening mile at 9:40, a strong surge to 8:04 for mile two, then a fade to 10:30 to close things out. That middle mile was the clear highlight, dropping his overall place from 591st to 463rd at the two-mile mark before the final stretch cost him ground. With Boulder's elevation above 5,000 feet as a backdrop, Sherrod might look to carry that mile-two strength deeper into the race next time out.
