Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: David Jensen #40880 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Steady Finish Caps a Solid 5K Effort David Jensen ran the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 30:14, finishing just slightly behind his 2025 time of 29:36 on the same course. His pace moved from 9:59 in the first mile to a strong 8:25 second mile, before settling to 10:43 over the final stretch, an even effort across the distance. The second mile stood out as his fastest of the race, a solid surge that showed real strength mid-course. Running through downtown Boulder's elevation of over 5,000 feet adds its own demand to any pace, and David's ability to hold near-9:45 overall reflects consistent conditioning. A touch more evenness between miles two and three could help smooth out the final push next time.
