Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Jesse Brennan #41210 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

A Strong Middle Mile Fuels a Solid 5K Finish Jesse Brennan crossed the line in 26:44, good for 12th in the M50-54 division. His race unfolded in three distinct stretches: an opening mile at 9:03, a sharp surge to 7:19 through the second mile, and a final mile that eased back to 9:28 as he closed out the course. That middle mile stood out as the fastest stretch of his race by a wide margin, showing a burst of pace control before settling in for the finish. The 5K concluded on the historic Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, a fitting cap to a race run at over 5,000 feet of elevation. With the second mile as a highlight, Brennan might look to carry that same rhythm deeper into the final stretch next time out.
