Young Runner Cracks Top 100 in Strong 5K Showing Nicholas Yeager finished the 5K in 20:28, placing 91st overall and 68th among men in a field of 2,677, and taking 2nd in the Male 14 & Under division. That result put him solidly among the race's fastest finishers. Yeager's pace shifted gradually across the three miles: he opened fastest at 6:12 for the first mile, held near that rhythm through the second at a 6:19 cumulative pace, then eased slightly to close at a 6:31 cumulative pace by the finish. That opening mile stands as his strongest single stretch of the day, with the final mile settling into a steadier, controlled effort to the finish on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder.
