Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Edgar Tellez Soto #41270 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Strong Start Fades Late in the Final Mile Edgar Tellez Soto finished the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 31:16, covering the field of 2,677 participants. Edgar's race opened briskly, clicking off his first mile in 9:35 before finding his best rhythm of the day on the second mile, a 9:11 stretch that marked his fastest mile of the race. The final mile cooled to 11:30, pulling his overall pace to 10:05 per mile by the finish. Running at Boulder's altitude of over 5,000 feet, Edgar might find that targeting a steadier final mile closer to his strong middle-mile pace could sharpen his overall time in a future 5K.
