Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Shiva Satish #40412 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Steady Effort Closes Out a Solid 5K in Boulder Shiva Satish finished the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 31:16, an average pace of 10:05 per mile. His second mile was his best stretch, covered in 9:28 after a 10:15 opening mile, before easing to 10:44 over the final mile to the finish. That middle-mile surge stands out as the strongest running of his race, and building on that pace earlier or later could offer an even smoother overall split next time. The race finished on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, a city sitting at over 5,000 feet of elevation - a notable setting for any runner's effort.
