Steady Pace Carries Strong Finish in Boulder 10K Jordan Fuchs completed the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 1:00:23. He held remarkably even pacing through the first four miles, each clocking right around 10:00, before finding another gear in mile five, covering it in 9:00 to mark his fastest mile of the race. That surge nudged his overall pace to 9:47 min/mile, a mark he sustained through the finish. Fuchs's late-race strength stood out most clearly in that fifth mile, where he shaved nearly a minute off his pace from the previous split. Racing at Boulder's altitude of over 5,000 feet, holding that kind of consistency across the 10K distance reflects well on his pacing strategy. If he looks to build on this result, working on a similarly strong push earlier in the race could be worth exploring.
