Age-Group Win Fueled by Fast Opening Miles Dimitri Connell finished the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 39:09, placing 16th overall and 12th among men out of a field of 3,071, and topped the men's 35-39 division. Connell went out quick, covering the opening mile in 5:56 and the first two miles at a combined 5:57 pace per mile his strongest stretch of the race. He settled into the low 6:00s through mile five before easing to a 7:16 split over the final full mile, still enough to hold his overall position through the finish. Given Boulder's elevation above 5,000 feet, that early pace stands out as the defining feature of his race. A more even effort across the back half could help him carry that opening speed further next time.
