Local Runner Trims Two Minutes Off Half Marathon PR Remy Chiapolini, 41, of Boulder finished the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon in 1:25:59, placing 84th overall and 73rd among men out of a field of 7,223. That marks an improvement over his 2025 Boulderthon half, where he ran 1:28:15 for 128th overall a gain of over two minutes and 44 overall spots. Chiapolini opened fast, covering the first mile in 6:13, and held sub-6:30 pace through mile 5. A modest dip followed between miles 6 and 8, with splits stretching to 6:39, 6:47, and 7:01, before he settled back into rhythm, closing miles 9 through 13 near 6:336:41 pace. That opening mile remains the standout stretch of the day. The race finished on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, a city sitting above 5,000 feet of elevation.
