Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Dan Clouse #27839 Race: 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles

Strong Start, Steady Finish Fuel Sub-1:34 Half Dan Clouse finished the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon in 1:33:17, placing 188th overall and 155th among men in a field of 7,223. That result improves on his 2023 Boulderthon half time of 1:37:21 by over four minutes, a notable step forward in pace from 7:25 to 7:06 per mile. Clouse's race unfolded with a fast opening: his first four miles averaged 6:56 per mile, the quickest stretch of his race. A natural easing followed through the middle miles, with splits drifting toward 7:29, before he closed strong, dropping back to 6:57 pace over the final two miles. That late surge carried him through the lululemon Power-Up Zone near mile 9.5 and on toward the finish on the Pearl Street Mall, a well-paced push to close out a race run at altitude above 5,000 feet.
