Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Kristi Weiburg #31203 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 10K Distance: 6.2 miles

Faster Finish, Sharper Split Than Two Years Prior Kristi Weiburg crossed in 49:35, trimming 26 seconds off her 2024 Boulderthon 10K time of 50:01. She placed 155th overall and 46th among women in a field of 3,071. Her pacing built steadily through the middle miles, drifting from 7:34 at the first mile to 8:08 by mile four, before she turned in her fastest mile of the day at mile five, a 7:23, pulling her cumulative pace back down to 7:44. The closing mile eased to 9:25 as she brought it home. Given that Boulder sits above 5,000 feet, that late surge stands out as the highlight of an otherwise consistent, well-paced effort. A touch more evenness between miles three and four could make future finishes even smoother.
