Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Hakan Eriksson #41549 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Steady Pace Secures Age-Group Win at Altitude Hakan Eriksson finished the 5K in 19:53, placing 77th overall and 58th among men out of the field of 2,677, and topped the M65-69 division. Racing at altitude in Boulder, where the course sits above 5,000 feet, he was about 40 seconds slower than his 19:13 at the 2024 Boulderthon, though that earlier result came in a different age group. His pacing held firm through the race: 6:20 for the first mile, a slight dip to 6:16 for the second, and a small rise to 6:34 to close. That second mile stood as his fastest stretch of the day, giving the effort a strong middle push before settling in for the finish.
