Big Pace Drop Fuels Career-Best Marathon Taylor Schuster crossed the line in 4:14:09 at the 2026 Boulderthon Marathon, a 35-minute improvement over her 4:49:23 finish the previous year. She held a steady sub-9:15 pace through the first 14 miles, clicking off her fastest mile of the race in mile 11 at 8:36. The middle miles slowed considerably from mile 15 onward, but she rallied over the closing stretch, dropping an 8:53 split in the 26th mile to finish strong. The marathon's redesigned course, now with net elevation gain cut to 603 feet, carried her past the lululemon Power-Up Zone near mile 22.5 before the finish on the historic Pearl Street Mall, all at over 5,000 feet of altitude.
